Editing Points
At first, you should switch the mode to Edit mode. Click Mode Switch Button at the upper left of window and confirm that the mode is set Edit mode.
On Edit mode, all points which is contained in the Active Track is shown by ○ marker.

Selecting Points
Click on the points, ○ marker will be highlighted by the green color. These points are called "Selected Points" and lines between selected points will be drawn by red color. They are called "Selected Lines".

Note:Shift-Click are methods for selecting multiple contiguous tracks.
Note:You can change the line color of tracks by using "Edit Track Information" dialogue.


Moving points
You can move selected points by drag &drop operation. If several points are selected, all points will be moved.



Deleting Points
You can delete selected point by Delete key or "Delete" item in "Edit" menu. If several points are selected, all points will be deleted.


After some of points are deleted, the previous point and the next point will be connected. The line of tracks will not be uncoupled.


Adding Points
In order to add point on the line, use "Add Point Tool".

By clicking on the line of track, you can add a new point on the line.

The date and elevation of added point are calculated automatically by contiguous points.

This operation is frequently used, so you can use it by "option + click" without changing the tool. You can also use "P" shortcut key for selecting this tool.


Selecting Points with Rectangular Marquee Tool

This tool provides an easy way to select many point at once. Draw a rectangle by drag & drop operation, and all points inside the rectangle will be selected.

Shift-Drag is methods for additional selecting. Option-Drag is methods for exclusive selecting.
You can use "M" shortcut key for selecting this tool.


Selecting Points with Lasso Tool

Lasso Tool

This tool provides an another easy way to select many point at once. Draw a free-form by drag & drop operation, and all points inside the rectangle will be selected.

Shift-Drag is methods for additional selecting. Option-Drag is methods for exclusive selecting.
You can use "L" shortcut key for selecting this tool.


Selecting Points with Point List
You can also select points by using Point List. Click a point you want to select on the Point List. Shift-Drag is methods for additional selecting. Option-Drag is methods for exclusive selecting.
If many point is close to each other, this way will be the easiest way to select a point.


Special functions for Tracks
You can use special functions from "Point" menu in menu bar.
・New Track with Selection
This function creates a new track with selected points and add it to the Track List.
Tips:This function does not delete points from original track. If you want to divide original track into two tracks, delete the selected points manually after using this function.


・Edit Information…
This function will show a dialog for editing informations of selected point. You can edit items below.
  • Date: Date when the point was recorded.
  • Elevation: Elevation at this point. The unit of length is meter.


・Offset Timestamp…
You can offset the timestamp of selected points. If there is a difference between the time setting of Logger and the correct time, use this function in order to set correct timestamp.


・Align Selected Points
This function places all selected points on straight line.


This operation is frequently used, so you can use shortcut key "S".


・Subdivide Lines…
This function adds new points on the selected lines so that length of lines is shorter than specified length.


When you choose this function, a dialog to specify the length will be displayed. Please specify the length you want to subdivide.


・Get Elevation
This function applies elevation to the selected points. In order to use this, you needs to install SRTM files in advance. For more information, refer to Work with SRTM section.


・Converge to Center
This function converges selected points to center coordinate of them.
